A Night
Vision Scope can be used for many more things than
for just hunting or by the military. They are used for security surveillance,
for wildlife observation, for boating, for camping and hiking. They are
becoming popular in many interest fields.
For the Night
Vision Scopes that are equipped with a spot illuminator,
you can get a pistol grip with a trigger switch that will control the
illuminator.

Night
Vision Scopes are very easy to use with either still cameras,
video cameras or chip cameras. Contrary to popular belief, all you need to do
is get the scope in front of the camera lens.
Passive Starlight Scopes
This type of Night Vision Scope use an abnormally large objective lens. It
is the most inexpensive and simpliest form of night vision devices, sometimes
referred to as starlight or passive night vision scope. The more expensive versions
use one which is also coated in multiple layers of a special chemical which
allows them to transmit up to 95% of the light back towards the viewer. Some
passive starlight scopes are now have infra red projectors which illuminate
the target with an almost invisible light source, which catches the reflected
infra red light, and allows the viewer to ‘see’ in the dark. These are good
for a cheap and effective viewing wildlife at night.
Active Starlight Scopes
Active starlight scopes work on the principle that there is some light available,
and they magnify it such that the image is clearer than if it were viewed with
the naked eye.
Active Infra Red Scopes
The basic premise of an active infra red night vision scope is that it intensifies
available infra red light which is out of the human viewing range, but which
is exuded by almost everything that surrounds us at night. The key operating
principle is that the device needs to take this light and convert it, as easily
as possible into something visible. Operation is similar to a regular active
scope, but the infra red night vision device is able to pick up streams of infra
red wavelength photons, rather than regular light, and convert them into a phosphor
image. The additional technology required makes them more expensive, but they
do offer the ability to be able to see in absolute darkness.
Night Vision Rifle scopes
Night Vision Riffle scopes are available for both professional and recreational
uses. A Night Vision Rifle scope is a Monocular scope that attaches to
your riffle.
Night Vision Rifle scopes are used by shooters to predict where a bullet
will hit the target. Mounting devices called scope mounts help Night Vision
Rifle scopes stay firmly in place. Night Vision Rifle scopes use
scope mounts traditionally made of aluminum or steel. To ensure that the image
that the shooter sees is clear and properly magnified, it is necessary that
the Night Vision Rifle scope mounts be fixed into place firmly.
Night Vision Rifle scopes are a favorite among hunters.
Night Vision Spotting scopes
Spotting scopes are designed to bring distant land-based objects closer.
Spotting scopes usually offer a more stable foundation than a binocular
with the high magnification of a telescope.
Night Vision spotting scopes can serve a number of purposes. If you
love the outdoors, you might want to take night vision scopes on your next camping
trip. You can go boating at night, with the aid of NV spotting scopes.
Perhaps most importantly, you can protect your home from intruders with the
aid of an NV scope.
