The Rubinars work well with the TKL-2x teleconverter and effectively increase
the focal length to 2000mm and the f ratio to 20. This combination is excellent
for lunar photography and for the planets. With an appropriae filter photographs
of the sun will show sunspots and other features. With an H alpha system
true surface images can be made with startling deail and clarity. |

The 5.6/500mm Rubinar can be used with the 2x converter without measurable
loss of detail. The converter connects directly to the lesns and the camera
to the converter making an effective focal length of 1000mm at a focal ration
of f11. An excellent combination for nature and bird photography. |

The 300mm Rubnar can be used with the 2x teleconverter and the zenit camera
giving an effective focal length of 600mm at f9.This is a very convenient
lens combination to produce very long range terresterial photographs and
vor whole disk photographs of the lunar surface. An excellent scope for
larger views of the deep sky and used with a good tracking mount. |
Canon EOS, Canon FD, Minolta MD, Nikon, Contax/Yashica cameras (film
or digital) and other brands can be used with the astrophotography sets by way
of the adapter rings.
If you purchase the special adapter, you can use the sets for different cameras.
