USER'S MANUAL
Your watch requires careful handing. If you want your watch work trouble-free
and keep high accuracy, please, do the following:
- Wind the watch regularly once a day until full winding (except watches with
automatic winding). Any manually wound watches work approximately from 35 up
to 42 hours after full winding.
- Wear the watch with automatic winding on your wrist not less than 10 hours
a day. Spontaneous movements of your hand make the rotor (oscillating weight)
turn and thus winding the mainspring of the watch. If the watch is not put on
for 38 hours it will stop. In order to make the watch go again, rotate set the
time and the date.
- Protect the watch from falling and sharp shocks.
- Avoid exposing the watch to strong magnetic fields and chemical agents.
- Clean, lubricate and adjust as well as to check water impermeability of "water-resistant"
watch once every two years after warranty is over.
- Do not open the case or remove its back cover: by that you protect your watch
from unqualified service and entrance of dirt into the movement.
- Avoid exposing the watch to temperature extremes as that causes weeping of
the crystal.
Accuracy of mechanical watches
Your mechanical watch does not need a battery. The watch can be repaired
even after decades of its heavy usage. Mean daily rate at temperature +20(±5)°C
ranges from -20 to +60 s/day depending on the movement type. More accurate parameters
of mean daily rate you may find in the descriptions for each watch movement.
Hands setting
In order to set the hands, the crown should be pulled out from the case
to the fixed position and then rotated clockwise to set the time.
Time-reading in the dark
Time can be easily read even in the full dark if marks denoting figures
in the watch dial are covered with fluorescent colors.
WATER RESISTANCE
Level of water resistance and possibilities to use the watch correspond with
the marking on the watch back cover.
- the watch without any marking on the back cover (common design) should be
protected from water drops;
- "Water resistant" - you can wash yourself, when there is no splashing of water
under pressure;
- "Water resistant 3 ATM" - you can wear the watch in rain and wash yourself
under a faucet, when water is splashed up under small pressure;
- "Water resistant 5 ATM" - you can water your garden and wash your car with
water coming out of a hose;
- "Water resistant (10 ATM)" - you can swim and dive (but not from a tower )
and to swim under water without a scuba.
Water resistant 5 and more atmospheres watch are as a rule equipped with screwed
watch crowns. To set hands, wind up the watch, change the calendar setting or
set a signal you should unscrew the screwed crown. Do not manipulate the watch
winder under water.

CRYSTAL
Sapphire crystal protects from scratches (9 degree of hardness)
and remains clear and undistorted for years of heavy usage. It is recommended
for sport activities due to exceptional resistance and hardness of the crystal.
However it can be broken if strongly stuck. Watches equipped with sapphire crystal
have corresponding marking on the back watch cover.
Mineral crystal also remains clear and undistorted for a long
time and it is also shock-resistant; but it is exposed to scratches.
